Sudinpusip Facilitates Pasar Jati Public Housing Residents to Restore and Digitize Their Archives

Central Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-agency (Sudinpusip) provides archives restoration and digitization services for residents in Pasar Jati Public Housing, on Jalan Jati Rawasari, RW 05, Rawasari Urban Village, Cempaka Putih Sub-district, Central Jakarta. This service is held for three days on November 15-17, 2021.

This service is free of charge

Central Jakarta Sudinpusip's Archives Functional Officer, Safrino Okman mentioned, family archives restoration and digitization services had previously been carried out at Baladewa Tanah Tinggi Public Housing. Starting today, his side provides the services at Pasar Jati Public Housing for 2 RTs, namely RT 16 and 15 of RW 05 with total 180 families and residents around the public housing.

"We want to help residents in digitizing their archives, so they can have the backup files if they experience fire, flood, or document loss. This service is free of charge. We also socialize them about the importance of maintaining important archives or documents," he explained.

Dispusip Holds National Movement Awareness of Order Archives

According to him, residents seemed very enthusiastic about the service. There are various types of archives or documents that can be restored. Starting from diploma, family card, birth certificate, marriage book, land certificate, ID card, position decree, appointment decree, and other documents.

"Archives that have been digitized are stored in form of CD (compact disc) which are given directly to residents and we also send them via email or telephone number. We hope residents will have awareness to maintain all archives they have," he conveyed.

On that occasion, Anton Kaluge (64), a resident of Pasar Jati Rawasari Public Housing said he was greatly helped by archives restoration and digitization services. He came to digitize his archives such as diploma, birth certificate, death certificate, family card, marriage card, land certificate, motorcycle BPKB, and retirement decree.

"We are greatly helped by this service. With this digital archives, we feel more secure, peaceful, and easy. Our documents are also stored on CD and google drives. We can view them directly from our smartphone at any time," he stated.
